The ClearStream RecyclingCenter provides solutions
for every phase of out-of-home recycling.
The ClearStream TrashMax, used for collecting trash,
and ClearStream CycleMax (Recycler), for recyclable
bottles and cans, have already experienced success in
more than 1,500 communities nationwide as an effective,
source-separation recycling center.
Is the Recycling Center sold
as a separate item in one case?
No, each individual container is sold separately 5
per carton. Since each customer’s configuration
of containers will be different, we are unable to pre-pack
the Recycling Centers. However, since the frames are
interchangeable we are able to send CycleMax or PaperMax
lids to complete the recycling center.
For example: let’s say you were interested in
2 CycleMax, 2 PaperMax, and 1 TrashMax. You would order
a case of either the CycleMax or the PaperMax. The frame
color will not affect your success, and the clear bags
that come in the case can be used on either frame. You may purchase additional replacement lids in a case of 5 for 85.00. Please contact us 1 800 872-8241 with any questions. Any locally available black bag
can be used for the TrashMax as long as it is at least
38in. in diameter (a 55 gallon “barrel bag”
is the right size). Note: there is a 1 case limit for
the 180 day trial, and a case of TrashMax does not qualify
because there are no lids with the TrashMax. After your trial,, you’ll have a good idea of how successful
you can be and the volumes of recyclables that are available.
Zero Waste Events
The ClearStream Recycling Center is flexible and can
be configured to collect a wide variety of material.
When a ClearStream is fitted with a biodegradable bag
and “compostables only” signage, the result is a zero
waste event.
In August of 2004, CRRA teamed up with Resourceful
Bag & Tag to green the CRRA sponsored reception,
"A Taste of San Francisco," at the National
Recycling Coalition conference. Containers were designated
for compostables, recyclables and trash.
The result was a zero waste event and
no trash was generated. "Everything went
really well, and we are really happy with the results."
said Lin King, of UC Davis, who helped organize
the event. The ClearStream units are versatile enough
to collect a variety of material and effective enough
to do it without any contamination! |
